Ghana’s Black Stars defeated Serbia 5-1 in the UEFA Under-16 tournament taking place in Russia.

Ghana, which began the competition with a 3-1 loss to the hosts on Tuesday, April 22, 2024, returned to winning ways with a 5-1 victory over Serbia.

Abdulai Nortey, Benjamin Hanson, David Koranteng, Ebenezer Anane and Benjamin Tsevanyo scored as Ghana thrashed Serbia.

The tournament organized by UEFA aims to ensure that the participating national teams are in good shape for their respective missions at the end of the year.

For the Black Starlets, the tournament is an important preparation for the WAFU Zone B Under-17 Championship, which will be held in Ghana.

The Starlets will face Kazakhstan in their final match of the tournament before returning to Ghana for the WAFU Zone B Under-17 Championship, which begins on May 15, 2024.
