Five executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Gomoa Central constituency of the Central Region have been sacked.

The affected executives include the president, Philemon Darko, organizer; John Ato Benya, Treasurer, Eric Sakyi, Research and Elections Officer; John Otedu and the Second Vice President; Isaac Dukú.

The Undersecretary; Stephen Arthur and Communications Officer; Benjamin Owiredu has also resigned from his respective positions.

Benya confirmed the development in an exclusive interview with Adomonline.com.

According to him, the national executives asked the five people to step aside, pending their appearance before the disciplinary committee.

This, he said, was due to allegations of supporting the independent candidate, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus.

“My only crime was taking a photo with A Plus at a wedding while the others were also supposedly supporting a contender, Reverend Francis Yamoah, Chairman of the Council of Patrons in the recent parliamentary elections,” he said.

During a meeting on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, the Nasara Coordinator announced her dismissal.

Meanwhile, Kwame A Plus has expressed his willingness to welcome the embattled executives to his side to ensure his victory in the December 7 elections.
