The United States Embassy in Addis Ababa presents: A visual journey of 120 years of bilateral relations

Addis Ababa, May 9, 2024 – On May 8, 2024, the United States Ambassador to Ethiopia, Ervin Massinga, together with the Minister of State for Tourism, Sileshi Girma, officially opened a photography exhibition at the National Museum in Addis Ababa to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the United States and Ethiopia. . The exhibition serves as a powerful reflection of the long-standing and deep bilateral relationship between the two nations.

Titled “A Visual Journey of Bilateral Relations,” the exhibition displays 28 carefully selected images that portray the deep connections between the two nations. From May 8 to 26, the exhibition will be open to the public at the National Museum, followed by exhibitions at the Institute of Ethiopian Studies on the campus of Addis Ababa University from May 29 to June 8 and at the Hyatt Regency in June 17 to May 26. July 7th. Each location will offer a curated collection of photographs that capture the essence of the bilateral relationship in various sectors, including health, education, agriculture and economic development.

“We are delighted to present this exhibition in celebration of the enduring friendship between the United States and Ethiopia,” said Ambassador Massinga. “Through these powerful images, we aim to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of the shared values ​​and aspirations that unite our nations.”
