Coronation Street fans react as ITV soap bosses share ‘horrible’ update

Coronation Street fans have reacted as bosses shared an update following the latest episode of the ITV soap.

As part of a police appeal following the disappearance of teenager Lauren Bolton, a reconstruction of her last movements took place. Daniel Osbourne did not go along, as he is still considered a suspect, but Bethany Platt did, along with Max Turner and Bobby Crawford.

Amid the crowd of people, Bethany was horrified to recognize Nathan Curtis, who groomed and sexually exploited her.

Later, she struggled to contain her anger and upset, and burst into tears at Daniel’s flat. Daniel assured her Nathan is still in prison and that her mind is playing tricks on her, but Bethany was adamant she had seen her former abuser of her.

After the credits rolled, soap bosses shared a clip of the scene on Corrie’s official Instagram feed. The post was captioned: “A terrifying blast from the past!”

Fans have been quick to comment, as Simone said: “Poor Bethany just when she was getting on with her life.” Amber said: “Oh bless her poor girl” and Jackie simply said: “Horrible.”

John said: “Maybe this is where Bethany and Daisy realize they’re more alike than they would admit.”
