Thomas Tuchel drops biggest return hint yet as Chelsea lose interest in £43m La Liga wonderkid

Mauricio Pochettino has a few more days left at the Cobham training grounds before Chelsea take on Nottingham Forest. Nuno Espirito Santo will welcome the Blues to the City Ground on Saturday afternoon as both teams hope to climb the Premier League table.

Chelsea are currently in seventh place after Manchester United were thrashed by Crystal Palace on Monday night. While the two teams have the same number of points with three games remaining, the west Londoners have a 14-goal lead in the race for European football.

As for Forest, they are three points above the relegation zone and a win could secure their place in the English top flight next season, depending on how Luton Town fare against West Ham. However, in other news, the summer transfer window is just around the corner and Chelsea continue to be heavily linked with some big names.

But for now, it remains to be seen whether or not Todd Boehly will approve another spending spree. So, having said that, football.london has taken a look at some of Chelsea’s biggest stories on Thursday 9 May.

Tuchel drops comeback hint

Thomas Tuchel has hinted at a possible return to the Premier League this summer. The former Chelsea boss has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United recently as Erik ten hag continues to disappoint at Old Trafford.

Speaking to TNT Sports ahead of Bayern Munich’s clash against Real Madrid in the second leg of the Champions League semi-finals, Tuchel said: “I must say that it is very, very, very unlikely that it will be at Bayern , because we have an agreement, there is no reason to doubt this agreement at the moment.
