Thomas Tuchel joins Chelsea and responds to Premier League return links

Thomas Tuchel has refused to answer whether he could return to Chelsea this summer as speculation continues over a possible return home to Stamford Bridge.

Tuchel will leave his position as coach of Bayern Munich at the end of the season, having reached an agreement with the club to end his contract that was due to expire in 2025 early.

Chelsea could be looking for a new manager in the immediate future after growing calls for Mauricio Pochettino to leave in recent weeks and months, raising the prospect of signing Tuchel as a replacement.

However, the Blues’ form has improved of late, ensuring there is still a chance to secure European football for the following campaign. Failure to do so would increase the pressure on Pochettino significantly.

Links with Tuchel are unlikely to fade this summer as the 50-year-old considers his next step in the game. Commenting publicly on what he hopes will happen this summer regarding his future, Tuchel commented: “It is very, very, very unlikely that it will be at Bayern, I must say, because we have an agreement, at the moment there is no reason to doubt.” . this agreement. We took this position, the initiative came from the club, that’s how it is and I’m fine with that.

“I don’t need it for the extra percentage of competitiveness because I am always willing to win, I am always thinking about how to improve the team or how to improve myself as a coach. Let’s go with everything. Does that influence where I will be next season? Maybe not, maybe he’s on vacation no matter what, let’s see, let’s see.”
