AFL teams Round 9 2024

Carlton have made four changes for Thursday night’s next big test against Melbourne, bringing back three players but losing another to injury.

The Blues have named Brodie Kemp, Mitch McGovern, Jack Martin and Ollie Hollands for the MCG clash.

Martin will play his first match since last year’s preliminary final, having recovered from both a knee injury and a hamstring set on the brink of returning, while McGovern has not played since Round 6.

Caleb Marchbank also trained fully but has not been named.

But they also lost another player to injury: Zac Williams, substituted in the loss to Collingwood due to glute soreness, unable to recover in time for Round 9.

Lewis Young, David Cuningham and Orazio Fantasia have been omitted from the squad.

In Melbourne, Jake Bowey returns after breaking his collarbone in the first round, replacing Bailey Laurie.

The rest of the teams for Round 9 will be announced on Thursday at 6:20 pm AEST.
