Manchester United triple team news hints at Crystal Palace clash as Erik ten Hag’s woes mount

Manchester United will look to return to sixth place in the Premier League when they travel to Crystal Palace on Monday.

Erik ten Hag’s side have fallen to eighth place in the standings following victories over Newcastle and Chelsea over the weekend. Their current league position will see them miss out on European football next season unless they beat Manchester City in the FA Cup final.

And several players have hinted that they will participate in Monday night’s game. Sofyan Amrabat, Casemiro and Antony are among the players who have put pre-match graphics on their Instagram stories, hinting they could start against Palace.

Ten Hag’s team will be without several players in defense at Selhurst Park, with Harry Maguire being the latest injured centre-back. The England international could be out for three weeks due to a muscle injury.

It has been a nightmare campaign for United with 62 separate cases of injuries and illnesses causing a player to miss a game. And Ten Hag believes a bigger team is needed at Old Trafford in 2024/25.

“Yes, that is one of the issues when it comes to building the squad,” he admitted, “where we have to improve, do things better to build a squad in which we have more depth.”
