Elon Musk comes to Trump’s defense after Robert De Niro compared the former president to Hitler and called him a “monster”

Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro is leaving no stone unturned when it comes to attacking former US President Donald Trump. In a recent interview with MSNBC’s The 11th Hour, he said: “I’m tired of insulting him…he’s really a genuinely sick person.”

Robert De Niro declared that he would vote for current President Joe Biden, adding that, first of all, “we have no choice” and “he’s a good guy” who is “trying to do the right thing.”

He even warned Trump supporters against voting for the Republican leader, saying they “don’t understand how dangerous it will be if he returns to power.” According to him, Trump’s second term would be “chaos beyond our imagination,” since “the guy is a monster.”

The actor then compared Trump to Hitler, saying, “And historically, from what I see, in Nazi Germany they had him with Hitler. They don’t take him seriously. He looks like a clown. He acts like a clown.” Mussolini, the same. These guys, I don’t know why, look like clowns, somehow people, that element of society, identify with them.”

When asked if he would ever be interested in playing Trump on screen, De Niro quickly responded: “Never. There is nothing in him, there is nothing redeeming in him that I can see.”

The actor further stated that he would vote for incumbent Joe Biden, adding that, first of all, “we have no choice” and that “he’s a good guy” who is “trying to do the right thing.”

He even advised Biden and his campaign to “go after” Trump. “figuratively, punch him in the face. Go towards him. A bully you punch in the face. The problem with Trump is that he is not just a bully, he is a stupid bully.”

Elon Musk speaks out in support of Trump

As soon as netizens began reacting to De Niro’s MSNBC interview, Tesla CEO Elon Musk gave the actor a stern response, reminding him that the Trump administration’s policies “are nothing like those.” of Hitler.”

“Well, Trump was already president for 4 years and his policies were nothing like Hitler’s, so this doesn’t make sense,” he wrote on X.

The billionaire also reminded De Niro that Trump brought some peace to the Middle East with the Abraham Accords.

“In fact, with the Abraham Accords, he made some progress toward peace in the Middle East, which was definitely not a priority on Hitler’s agenda.”

Reacting to Musk’s post, one of the X users wrote: “Elon Musk just gracefully handed his hat to Robert De Niro.”

“Robert De Niro reminds me of my father. My father was a stubborn fanatic. #Trump2024,” a second user commented, while a third user wondered, “Is Elon Musk leaning towards MAGA?”

Musk appears to be leaning toward Trump as the US presidential election approaches. In March, Musk clarified that he would not donate cash to any candidate, following his meeting with the former president.

“I voted 100% Democrat until a few years ago. “Now, I think we need a red wave or America will be ruined,” Musk said in a tweet.
