Jurgen Klopp insists his phone will be on for incoming Liverpool manager Arne Slot if he wants to talk about the Liverpool team he is leaving him.

But the Kop boss insists he will not be the one to insist that any new member of staff contact Slot to inform him. The outgoing Reds manager believes his reconstruction of “Liverpool 2.0” does not end with him. Asked if he would speak to the new manager, Klopp said: “It’s not my decision.

“I am not in a position to give advice. When new people come, if they want to know something, they can call me: everyone has my number.

“We can talk about absolutely everything, I love talking about everything in this club. I love talking to every person, no problem. But it’s not up to me or me to be available to ask him or her.

“No problem, I’ll give everything I know.”

Liverpool head into their penultimate home game of the season against Tottenham tomorrow, knowing that Klopp’s fairytale farewell to winning the Premier League title would require a miracle.

But Spurs’ defeat to Chelsea on Thursday night confirmed the Reds’ qualification for the Champions League.

The German insists “the pressure is off” and that means he can now enjoy his final three games in charge of the Reds starting tomorrow with the visit of Spurs before a trip to Aston Villa and then a game at home against the Wolves.
