Cyril Ramaphosa says the ANC is sticking to its internal processes to discipline former party president Jacob Zuma.

Although Zuma had effectively left the ANC, with his announcement that he would vote for the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) party and his attempt to remain on that party’s candidate list, in December he said he remained a member of the ANC.

The ANC has refrained from disciplining Zuma for this move. He had hoped to avoid a complicated expulsion process before the election, but now he has thrown caution to the wind and is moving forward with a process that could lead to his ouster.
